15 digits
The IMEI is the phone's 15-digit serial number. On the phone you're selling, dial *#06# to see it, or go to Settings > General > About (iPhone) or Settings > About phone (Android).

What buyers will see
The verdict, the model, whether it's reported lost or stolen or locked, the check date, and only the last 4 digits of the IMEI so they can match it in person. If Find My (the iPhone's iCloud lock) or another lock is on, the report will say so. Turn it off before you check.
